London Symphonia looks to the future with the thrilling World Premiere of Yinyang, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Composer-in-Residence Scott Good. Performed by virtuoso violinist, Kerson Leong, the Concerto explores expression and drama through music's complementary opposites – consonance/dissonance – fast/slow – loud/soft – tense/relaxed.
Mahler’s First Symphony, known as “The Titan”, is an atmospheric arc from fragile beginnings, to raw emotion and awe-inspiring grandeur. Full of sweeping melodies, dramatic contrasts and unforgettable themes, Mahler’s First is always an unforgettable adventure.
French-born James S. Kahane, principal conductor of the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra, co-principal conductor of the Orchestre de Chambre de la Drôme, and music director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra makes his London Symphonia conducting debut.
