Kevin Mallon, Conductor | Cameron Crozman, Cello Soloist
Cello soloist and London native Cameron Crozman returns to join the orchestra for Haydn’s uplifting Cello Concerto in C major. Performing on the 1696 “Bonjour” Stradivarius cello, Crozman has been described as a “musical force to be reckoned with.” London Symphonia then performs the “Dumbarton Oaks” Concerto in E flat, by Stravinsky; this nod to his predecessors, full of classical balance and symmetry, is tinged with Stravinsky’s unique brand of irony. Beethoven’s joyous Symphony No. 1 finishes the program.
