With guest artist, violinist Lara St. John
Our season finishes with a flourish when violinist Lara St. John returns to her home town to lead London Symphonia in an electrifying program that spans more than two centuries of music.
The New York Times has called St. John a “high-powered soloist.” She brings her creativity and passion to Antonio Vivaldi’s most famous work, The Four Seasons (1716-17). The baroque masterpiece is paired with Astor Piazzolla’s tango-laced Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (1967-70), arranged for violin and orchestra by Leonid Desyantnikov in 1996-98.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear this internationally-acclaimed soloist and musical maverick in the intimate setting of Metropolitan United Church.
