Karen Kjeldson

Karen has been a member of the viola section of London Symphonia since 1982. She began as a part-time player with Orchestra London before becoming a full-time member of the core orchestra from 2001 onward.

 A native to Calgary, Alberta, she received her BMUS from the University of Victoria, and her MMUS from Western University. In addition to her performance career she has taught music and riding privately, co-founded and present violist of the Classique String Quartet (1982-present), Orchestra Librarian for OLC (1986-92), and String Assistant for the prestigious St. Mary Choir and Orchestra School in the LDCSB (1990-2012).  She has many interests including horseback riding and other sports.  She is married and has two children.
